held at National Institute of Biologicals, Noida under

The
laboratory has organized a national level meeting involving
the regulatory authorities , standard setting
authorities (IPC), manufacturers and importers of
blood products , academicians, clinicians and
representatives of the consumer forums to develop a
national policy for testing of blood products as well as to
review the Indian Pharmacopoeia monographs. The meeting was
held at NIB . 51 participants representing various organizations
have participated in this meeting. The meeting has paved way to
the constitution of working groups and expert committees for
finalization of recommendation from the representatives of
national and international agencies. Such policies will enhance
better regulation of these drugs and also help in improving the
quality of the products marketed in India
